April 9-13, 2017
Portola Hotel & Spa and Monterey Marriott
Dear CPCA Attendees:
On behalf of the California Police Chief’s Association Region No. 9, welcome to the 40th Annual Training Symposium. Your host agencies; Carmel-by-the-Sea, Capitola, Hollister, Marina, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Salinas, Sand City, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, Seaside and Watsonville Police Departments, have collaborated to bring you an educational and enjoyable experience.
This year’s Symposium will offer sessions on leadership, legal updates, consolidation, regionalization, collaboration, and many other topics of interest that challenge our organizations. Panel discussions will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the successes of other law enforcement agencies, and the innovative concepts they employ. Informal networking will enhance the learning process, and provide an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships while building new ones, with the best and brightest law enforcement has to offer. We sincerely hope you leave the symposium re-energized, re-purposed, and re-committed.
We hope you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Monterey Bay Area and Salinas Valley. Whether you enjoy shopping, golfing, hiking, biking, wine tasting, skydiving, or amusement rides at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, the Monterey Bay Area has something for everyone. The Conference staff is available to help should you have specific questions.
Welcome and enjoy your visit.
