The California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) and the California Police Chiefs Association (Cal Chiefs) are partners to protect the public. We share the same goal. CAMTC provides critical support to police departments in their efforts to curtail illicit massage establishments in their communities. By coordinating each department’s enforcement protocol with CAMTC’s denial and disciplinary programs, together we make a real impact on the safety and quality of life for residents in those communities.

“Cal Chiefs highly values our partnership with CAMTC,” noted Morgan Hill Police Chief David Swing, Cal Chiefs’ president. “The work they do in certifying massage therapists greatly helps our members regulate massage establishments. Their training provides another resource to help us better understand the massage industry.”

“Our partnership with the California Police Chiefs Association will help us continue our commitment to keeping California consumers safe,” noted California Massage Therapy Council Chief Executive Officer Ahmos Netanel. “Our work with public safety agencies, including extensive training and education, is a great benefit for communities throughout the state.”

California Massage Therapy Council’s mission is to protect the public by certifying massage professionals in California that meet the requirements in the law and approving massage programs that meet the minimum standards for training and curriculum.
