Policing Reforms: Department Changes - Creation & Implementation

When:  Aug 24, 2021 from 12:00 to 13:30 (PT)
Over the past few years, the call for policing reforms has been hotly debated. This has led to the creation and implementation of several changes in departments to policies, training, and other areas of their department. Many chiefs have proactively made these changes while others have been directed to make changes.

As the conversation about reforms continues, CPCA is presenting a webinar with police chiefs who have made changes. You will hear about the steps taken and some preliminary outcomes that are taking place in several agencies. You will have an opportunity to ask questions as well as see what some other agencies have done in the past year.

Panelists: Chief Daniel Hahn, Sacramento Police Department; Chief Steve Watson, Eureka Police Department; Chief John Perez, Pasadena Police Department
Moderator: Retired Chief Pete Dunbar, Pleasant Hill Police Department
