Together Towards Tomorrow

The submissions for this year’s Annual Training Symposium are closed. Thank you!

Workshops are selected to best meet attendee needs. All proposals go through a review process and our goal is to offer relevant and timely education and training to help attendees do their jobs more effectively and to make their agencies more successful. CPCA is seeking the very best, most relevant, and most thought-provoking ideas in order to deliver content pertinent to the law enforcement profession.

Material/Handout Distribution
We encourage our presenters to have handout materials where necessary. Handouts or appropriate material are only distributed electronically via our exclusive conference app.

Speaker Compensation
The Annual Training Symposium has a small budget and operates on a lot of volunteer time. We recognize it can be an expense to make these presentations, but hope the exposure received at our event will be a worthwhile investment. Please contact Meghan Kalmbacher for any questions regarding this.

Speaker/Presenter/Panelists Duties
Prior to the conference, the speakers will prepare clear and concise remarks and will confer with each other to ensure an orderly presentation. The panelists will prepare any necessary audiovisual and handout materials needed to support the presentation. Please see above to read our handout suggestions. Please allow time for questions and answers at your workshop.

Workshop Supervision
A workshop monitor will be assigned to your workshop and available before, during and after your presentation. The purpose of the monitor is to assist you in any manner: to maintain good order, get the doors closed and opened, operate the lights, assist in passing out handouts and obtaining audio/visual technicians if necessary. They will also give a brief introduction of you and your presentation before beginning.

Annual Training Symposium Registration
Any presenter that intends to attend the entire event must register. Registration is done online only. If you only plan to attend for your presentation, you do not need to register for the event. Please check-in at the speaker area at registration for your credentials.
