Partnering for Your Department’s Success: A Course for Executive Assistants

  • Rancho Cucamonga, CA 11481 Mission Vista Drive Rancho Cucamonga, CA, 91730 United States (map)

Do you know what your Chief expects from you? How to effectively juggle your role in keeping your executive on course and the department running smoothly?  Would you like to brush up on time management/organization/software tips ‘n tricks, or review legal issues? This course addresses these topics and many more:

  • Partnering with your Chief

  • Responsibilities of the executive assistant

  • Leveraging your strengths to drive performance

  • Managing challenges and difficult/crisis situations

  • Personnel issues and records

  • Effective communication

  • Time management and organization

  • Transitioning to a new Chief

This three-day course is presented in a blended group dynamic, lecture, and panel format. Attendees have the opportunity to ask questions from a panel of current Police Chiefs and to interact, network, and build relationships with their peers. The course is designed for not only current chief’s executive assistants, but also those who fill-in during their absence, as well as those who are on the path to becoming an executive assistant in the future.

Technology is ever changing: just as you master one software program, the next version comes along! To address this, we've added a comprehensive section taught by a technology expert who specializes in online and electronic time management (always one of the highest rated segments of the course). Come learn the ins-and-outs, and tricks of the trade, in programs such as Outlook and Excel – how to effectively organize yourself and your chief using modern technology (a laptop is not required for this portion of the course).
