Member Roundtable: Department Losses Resource Launch

CPCA’s Organizational Wellness & Resiliency Committee invites members to a special edition Member Roundtable focused on supporting agencies through one of the most difficult challenges they may face: the loss of a member of their department. 

During this session, the Committee will introduce its new Department Losses Resource, developed to help Chiefs navigate the immediate and ongoing considerations that arise following a loss. Committee members will provide a brief overview of the project, walk attendees through the resource, and share how it can be used by agencies when support and guidance are needed most. 

The conversation will then open to attendees. Members are encouraged to share their own experiences, lessons learned, resources, and considerations that could strengthen the guide for agencies across California.

This resource is intended to be a living document, evolving as members contribute their knowledge and experience. Whether your agency has navigated a department loss or you simply want to be better prepared, we invite you to join the conversation and help shape this resource for the profession.
