Technology Conference - October 1st-3rd, 2025

The California Police Chiefs Association (CPCA) is proud to announce its first-ever Technology Conference, a groundbreaking event dedicated to exploring how innovation and technology are shaping the future of public safety.

This year’s conference will place a spotlight on Artificial Intelligence (AI)—its promise, its challenges, and how agencies are using it to enhance effectiveness, safety, and service to the community.

We invite public safety agencies to submit proposals for education sessions that explore real-world implementations, operational lessons, and ethical considerations around technology in policing. While AI will be a featured theme, we welcome proposals on all topics relevant to advancing the policing profession.

This event provides law enforcement professionals with a unique opportunity to examine advanced technologies designed to boost efficiency and improve outcomes in their organizations. Speakers must be from policing agencies currently utilizing these technologies, enabling participants to acquire valuable insights into the criteria and processes for selecting, implementing, and integrating these innovations. Attendees will benefit from the firsthand experiences of those who have successfully navigated these challenges, including securing funding and identifying obstacles. This comprehensive event aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and best practices needed to utilize technology effectively.

Proposal Guidelines

  • Align with conference theme: Sessions should be focused on a specific technology or technology topic.
  • Duration: Sessions should be 60 minutes in length.
  • Educational focus: Presentations should focus on providing educational value rather than advertising a specific technology brand or company. All presentations will undergo review before being presented to attendees.
