Join the California Police Chiefs Association (CPCA), California State Sheriffs’ Association (CSSA), and PORAC for Public Safety Engagement Day, a collaborative advocacy event bringing together public safety leaders from across California.

This 1.5 day event provides law enforcement professionals the opportunity to engage directly with state legislators and policymakers on issues impacting public safety, local communities, and the future of policing in California. 

Participants will hear updates on legislative priorities, strengthen relationships with elected officials, and demonstrate a united commitment to advancing effective public safety policy.

This event is for police chiefs - command staff may register to attend with the chief.

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Reception Join us for an evening of networking, appetizers, and drinks at The Mix in downtown Sacramento.

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Legislative Meetings Engage directly with state legislators during scheduled Capitol meetings coordinated by CPCA's legislative liaison.

CPCA will not have a formal hotel block for the Public Safety Day. However, below are some recommendations.
