Rethinking Background Investigations: Smarter Hiring for California Law Enforcement

CPCA Partner Webinar: National Testing Network

Thursday, August 27, 2026
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (PDT)

As part of CPCA’s commitment to providing members with timely education and practical leadership resources, we are pleased to offer a webinar in partnership with CPCA Partner National Testing Network on the topic of background investigations.

Webinar Description:

California law enforcement agencies are under increasing pressure to hire qualified candidates while maintaining thorough, compliant background investigations. At the same time, limited staffing, growing applicant volumes, and evolving POST requirements have made the process more demanding than ever.

Join National Testing Network for an informative webinar focused on modern background investigations for California law enforcement agencies. We'll discuss how departments are reducing hiring timelines, maintaining California POST compliance, improving communication throughout the investigation process, and delivering consistent, defensible results without sacrificing quality.

You'll also get an inside look at NTN's background investigation process, our proprietary Dimensional Report, and how agencies across California are using technology and experienced investigators to create a faster, more transparent hiring process. Whether your department completes investigations in house or partners with an outside provider, you'll leave with practical ideas to help improve efficiency and support better hiring decisions.
