Friday’s Closing Featured Speaker is Danielle Green, whose story of resilience, teamwork, and purpose embodies this year’s theme: The Power of Connection. A Chicago South Side native, Danielle earned a basketball scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, where she became the program’s 14th-leading scorer and built a foundation in leadership and trust.
After college, Danielle enlisted in the U.S. Army as a military police officer and deployed to Iraq. In 2004, she was critically wounded by a rocket-propelled grenade, losing her dominant arm. With support from the Wounded Warrior Project, she chose transformation over trauma and rebuilt her life. Today, she speaks to audiences nationwide, sharing a message grounded in one truth: no one climbs alone.
