Workers Comp Summit

Workers Comp Summit

Thursday, November 21, 2024
7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (PST)

The health and wellness of the members of our law enforcement agencies is a core priority for Chiefs of Police and command staff. One of the central dimensions of this critical issue is the effectiveness of the treatment organizations provide following a line of duty injury. The goal of this summit is to assist chiefs, senior command staff, and human resources professionals with achieving improved recovery outcomes from the Workers’ Compensation system for their injured personnel.

The material will offer an organizational approach for senior leaders to apply in driving the treatment process. Our presenters will explain how treatment is delayed, denied, or approved, provide the legal basis for leaders to exert their authority and influence, reconcile true economic cost of injuries, offer protocols for helping assure accountability, and discuss overcoming barriers to change.

Chiefs, Seconds, and those responsible for the management of injury follow-up (a decision maker) such as an HR Director are encouraged to attend together, in order to gain the maximum benefit from this summit.
